Welcome to NTAREI. We are the professional association of and for the independent real estate investors and landlords in North Texas.
Our mission is to promote and support the success of our members, and maintain the high professional standards of our industry. We strive to do so through leadership, networking, and education.
Our membership includes both experienced and new investors, who invest in residential and commercial properties, as rehabbers, resellers, and landlords.

Monthly General Meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month (occasional exceptions), at 6:30 pm, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel (main ballroom), on LBJ Freeway (635) at the Coit Road exit, in Dallas. Non-members and visitors are always welcome to attend. No advance registration is required.

Independent investors and landlords serve a vital role in the community. They rejuvenate blighted neighborhoods, add to the tax base, and provide employment for a wide range of workers, contractors and suppliers. But most importantly, they provide the affordable housing which enables so many working Americans to live with dignity, comfort and security. So, for this important segment of our society, as well as others, the independent investors are the essential Housing Providers.

Educational Seminar " Federal Requirements for Seller Financing, 2010 " presented by Jerry Rutledge and Rachel McNamara-Cahill Yes, it's true. Until next summer, you don't have to be, or use, a licensed Residential Mortgage Loan Originator (RLMO) to do seller financed transactions, as long you don't do more than five seller financed deals in 12 months._ However, you still must comply with all of the new or amended federal laws and regulations regarding seller financing - on every seller financed deal you do. o Do you know all of the disclosure laws? If you think you might ever do even one seller financed deal any time in the future, then you need to be aware of all the provisions with which you are required to comply - with or without a licensed RMLO involved.

Contract Negotiations presented by Bryan Dunklin, Attorney at law
Bryan Dunklin has been a Texas attorney and real estate investor since 1980. He specializes in representing investors who buy properties facing foreclosure. He was licensed as a Texas real estate broker in 1982 and taught real estate law and tax, real estate transactions, and business law on the faculty at Southern Methodist University for 23 years. Bryan also served as Chairman of the 820 lawyer Real Property Section of the Dallas Bar Association in 2004. He is a frequent speaker at professional and trade associations.
